Dear parents,

For the first time, we are proud to take part in the charity organised by San Bartolomé de Tirajana Townhall in collaboration with Cáritas, The Red Cross and the Lion´s Club. The charity, “food and toy campaign” caters to those needy people on our island. The idea stems from “a little of you, is a lot!.

Dear parents, On this day only we will ask you to drop your son/daughter off directly at Rancho Park (from 8.15-8.30) dressed ready for the play, (the clothes will be sent home Monday 12^th December). The school will open both parking areas if you would like to leave your cars there. It is imperative to be on time as we wish to start the Christmas Show punctually at 9.00 sharp. Those children arriving after 8.35 will not gain access and will have to sit with their parents and watch the play as a spectator.

All the children will go for a final rehearsal 12th December at Rancho Park (from 9.30 until 11.30)

Dear Parents, we would like to inform you that starting on Monday the 21^st  of November the children should come to school wearing their winter uniform. The children in K1 will continue to wear their winter P.E uniform. For P.E lessons, the children in K1, K2 and K3 should come to school dressed in their P.E kits. P1-P5 should bring their full P.E kits in a bag and will change in school. Here is a reminder of the P.E timetable:

We had our first fire drill of the school year on Monday.  The firemen came and timed us as we safely walked out of the building.  They said we had done it very well.  Afterwards, they gave us a talk and a demonstration on fire safety.  We even got to see the fire engine.  It was great fun.  We enjoyed playing with the hoses.  Some of us got sprinkled with water!!!

P4 did an assembly called “Greed or No Greed”.  It was aimed at raising other people awareness of children in need all over the world, including our own country and how lucky we are for what we have. As part of the assembly, P4 decided to do a cake sale to raise money for a children charity;” Nuevo Futuro”. We raised 200 euros for the charity and would like to thank the parents for their great cake contributions.

Our assembly format has changed this year. Each class will perform a class assembly once a year. We extend a warm invitation to you to come and watch your son/daughter´s performance. The assemblies will be on Thursdays afternoons at 2.00 on the small playground. You will be notified the week before prior the assembly.

We would like to inform you that on Friday 21^st  October the children will have their school photo. The photographers will be at school in the morning and will take a photograph of every child individually and by class. Therefore we would like the children to come to school in winter uniform ONLY on this day, (green polo-shirt and the skirt/grey trousers).

El segundo trimestre llevaremos un sistema diferente para la tarde de notas.El lunes 4 de abril, entregaremos las notas a todos los alumnos en un sobre cerrado. El martes 5 de abril, citaremos entre las 15.30 y las 16.30, solamente a aquellos padres que consideremos necesario. No obstante, si usted NO ha recibido cita pero aún así desea hablar con el/la profesor/a de su hijo/a, podrá hacerlo entre las 16.30 y las 17.00 del martes 5 de abril. Las clases finalizarán el viernes 8 de abril a las 15.30 y se reanudarán el lunes 25 de abril a las 08.30.
