Secondary Newsletter. February-March

Circular_informativa_secundaria.febrero-marzoSchool rules. In general students are bringing the correct uniform to school. However, some students are bringing trainers with winter uniform, when they should be wearing shoes. Also some students are wearing jumpers of different colors to the navy blue which is the right one. In addition some girls are also coming to school with polished nails, which is not permitted. Please help us reinforcing this rule at home

Public exams in S4,S5 and S6. The provisional timetable of these is published in the school’s webpage. Students enter now a period of serious work. They must spend time at home working hard as independent study is essential to be successful in these exams. May I ask for your cooperation in this matter.

Discipline in school. Discipline in School is working well. Most students are following school rules and those who aren’t are being told to do so. The atmosphere in school is positive. There are no episodes of violence and students are respecting one another.

Carnival Day in school. On Friday 17th February S5 students organize carnival activities for the rest of the school. It is a school day and all students must attend. Although lessons are not taught it is a day in which other values are promoted: team work, effort and goal attaining in the different activities, relationship between students and teachers in a different context to that of the classroom etc. S6 students will have normal lessons.

End of term dates. Easter holidays begin on Friday 30th March 3.35 pm and students must be back in school on Monday 16th April at 8.30.

Material students need to bring to school: pens, pencils, rubber, sharpener, ruler, calculator etc.

Thanks once again for your cooperation in this exciting adventure of educating your children

Yours sincerely

Pedro Tomás. Headmaster
