Last Friday we enjoyed a fantastic Carnival day in school (see photos). Students and teachers dressed up in some of the most remarkable costumes and S5 students did a great job organizing a full day of activities. Miss Frances coordinated the S5 students and the day was a complete success. There is a challenge for S4 next year!

As part of the Cultural Olympics organized by the Claret School, this writing contest will be hosted by the Canterbuyr School this year. Seven schools participate on 23 February: Canterbury, Claret, Heidelberg, Sagrado Corazón, IES Tamaraceite, IES La Minilla, IES Cairasco. In each year group (S1,S2,S3,S4) there are 2 participants. This year our candidates are: S1 Gabriel Odebrecht and Carolina Collado; S2 Elisa Gómez and Eugenia Esteva; S3 Jose E. Hernández and Andrea Pérez; S4 Carla Rodríguez and Paulo Brito.
Good luck to all of you!

This friday, 12th February, we will have a Carnival party at Rubén Darío in which the children will enjoy lots of fun and games and a parade. We ask you that the children must come to school dressed up in their costumes for this event.

Dear parents, We would like to inform you that our Carnival holidays have been confirmed for Thursday 18th and Friday 19th of March. The Carnival school party is Wednesday 17th March , and it is for the children to celebrate with their teachers only. The children should come dressed in their Carnival costumes and bring their P.E. kit in a bag in order to change if they wish to do so.

On Friday 12th February students from the Secondary section will enjoy a Carnival Day in school. There will not be lessons and the whole day will be spent with recreational activities, including a Carnival parade. Talent Show, team games, and sports. Students must come to school with school uniform as they will get changed here, and also they must bring their books in case it rains (although after last week's rains we should have had enough!)

Dear parents, I would like to inform you about the following important matters for the next two months.
School rules. In general students are bringing the correct uniform to school. However, some students are bringing trainers with winter uniform, when they should be wearing shoes. Please help us reinforcing this rule at home....

Secondary. Pupils from the Senior department collected 1,385.31 € in their Mufty Day last Friday. This amount has been deposited in “Caja de Ahorros del Mediterráneo”. We would like to thank pupils and parents for their generous contribution to help Haiti.
