P6 students have been researching Egyptian Art this last term and they have made an Egyptian headdress to wear. Well done to all classes for their hard work.

Artist of the week has been won by Rafa McCarthy from S2D for his excellent research and artist study of the Japanes artist Hokusai.

P5 have been learning about the ancient Greeks who were master potters. Historians have learnt so much about them by studying the paintings on their pots, such as how they lived, what they ate and the sports they took part in. Here are P5´s pots with a “modern twist” on the ancient greek designs.

El artista de la semana es Alejandro O'Kane por su magnífico esfuerzo en el collage de máscaras egipcias. ¡Bien hecho Alex!

Artist of the week goes to ANGELS GINE CASTELLVI from P6B for her excellent sketch of King Tutankhamun.

As part of our design and Technology unit called “containers”, P4 have designed a range of containers based on their mother’s interests, ranging from bird houses, mini stables, jewellery boxes to vases. We used various joining methods and materials such as lollypop sticks, hot glue and paper mache. We decorated them with bright, sparkling colors so our Mothers would be delighted with them on Mothers Day.

S5 art students have just finished their 15 hour AS art exam with some excellent results. Good luck to them all and work can be seen at the Canterbury school art evening on Wednesday June 16th at 7pm.

What a lovely surprise for Miss Lindsay!! On the first day back at school all the children in Primary performed the Wizard of Oz as a surprise for Miss Lindsay who unfortunately missed the original shows. It was beautiful and everybody said how well the children performed it at the end of last term. Congratulations to all the children and teachers and thank you for your hard work. Thank you also to the parents for their help with the costumes.

4C have been studying and writing modern legends. They have gone on to create their own 'Superheroes' using felt and their sewing skills. A very enjoyable topic!

Where would we be without friends?! In PSHE 4A have been talking about friendship. The class have sat down and written one thing they like about each child in their class. At the end of the session everybody will have 25 wonderful things to read about themselves!

In third grade the children are making a mural highlighting the different ways we are endangering the Canary Islands through pollution. The finished murals will be handed in to the Canarian Government. Remember ... we can all do our bit to help the environment!!

Artist of the week goes to Paula Suarez of S1A for her excellent title page. Well done.
